My blessed MAC is back...

Vin's brother-in-law dropped by yesterday. We almost never get company so when we do, and maybe this is why we rarely get company, Silas and Atticus go a little bonkers. Silas thinks he can lure people into playing with him if he runs wildly around the house with stolen objects, and Atticus loves Silas' antics and joins right in.

Anyways, during this most recent surprise company Atticus got a black marker (I think he made a deal with Silas; act really crazy, Silas, so the attention is distracted from me so I can stealthily grab the black marker). I look over and there that boy is coloring our sofa black. I holler his name and he hurls that marker as far and as fast as he possibly could and stands there with a very, "What? It wasn't me. I don't even have a black marker." kind of a look.

Cheeky.

I also discovered he's been coloring the wall in his room. One of the shelves on the bottom right of a big bookcase has no books on it so he's been crawling in and coloring on the wall behind the bookcase. It's almost entirely red now (seems I didn't lock the crayons away soon enough).

Very cheeky.

A few posts ago I mentioned Atticus was such a smarty-pants for fetching his clothes (picture below of said outfit). Well, today I asked him to do the same and he brought his socks (2 times), and the container with the remainder of Dillon's umbilical cord.

Every week or so Atticus latches onto some strange new 'toy'. The last time it was the phone cord, tomato paste, and can of cereal. This time he's carting around, and napping with!, the bathroom scale. Wonder what's next...

The rest of pictures mostly speak for themselves...

Coloring on paper for once...                                          It's a rock. Really!                                 If Dillon can rock, so can he...

He's a road-biker at heart...            Shopping for Atti's first pair of big-boy runners...           Taipei 101 just behind the sandbox...

We're really thankful our 2 pets are so good with Atticus. They both let him lay on them, pull their tails, poke their eyes, the list goes on and on. We try to teach him to be gentle and kind, but Silas and Odus invariably get sat on and laid on. As far as cats go, Odus is about the most forgiving cat I've ever met. He's never, not once, bitten Atti, swiped at him, brought his claws out, or made any hissing or growling sounds at him. And he's taken A LOT of abuse. He just takes it like a trooper.

While we're all in Canada for a month Odus has nowhere to go. If any of you readers in Taipei could take (good) care of him we'd be grateful...

Must lay on everyone. It's just the way he shows his love, I guess...
